BEYOND RUNWAY
This is a modeling and pageant event. It offers young male and female involved or aspiring to a successful career in modeling, fashion designing and creative arts first, the opportunity to acquire essential skills that will enhance their productivity and performance whilst exposing them to rich industrial prospects. The skills include: Blogging, web/graphics design, digital marketing, photo editing, make up, brand communication and hair styling. This is done through a master class session, workshop/seminar and practical field work.
However, as a matter of necessity, the event offers participants the opportunity to contest in a fashion show, awards and beauty pageant where 5 winners emerge asQUEEN RUNWAY NIGERIA, FACE OF SOULMATE, MISS DELAQUINE, FUTURE AFRICA MODEL AND PEARL OF RUNWAY. Top 100 models are also selected as network of Soulmate Enterprise Ambassadors and brand communication executives for various brands. The 5 winners are entitled to cash prizes, official car is attached to their office plus automatic brand endorsement deals with Soulmate Industries Limited, Delaquine and other brands.
This year, the event seeks to reach quite some number of youths in Nigeria, and across Africa, so that by 2021, very significant number of African youths would have been trained as ICT skilled models, fashion designers and creative artists with thriving careers on global platforms. This is an alternative economic program to help African youths harness the wealth of vocational services. Contestants are going to be judged based on online voting and a number of physical criteria.
The dates and venues are:
1) Preliminary Event Dates: 3-4th of November, 2016 (Academy Camp-Conference, Exbition and Celebrities Fans Day) at Indoor Sports Center, Unilag.
2) Main Event Date: 5th November (Main Event-Brands Fiesta-outdoor exhibition, Awards, Purple & Black Carpet and The pageant grand finale) at Lagos Airport Hotel Ikeja.
Top Celebrities and Who Is Who in Nigeria and beyond are coming amongst whom are the award recipients. Currently, International Peace Ambassador and Multiple Awarding Winning Gospel Music Producer ‘Wole Oni’ is one of the many recipients.
