Another small time hawker gets a major makeover and the beginnings of a modelling career.
First it was TY Bello who changed the story of a small time breadseller, now Kelechi Amadi-Obi crafts his own 'grace to grass' tale surrounding a pillow seller named Bukola.
Although Olajumoke Orisaguna's story seemed more incidental as she walked through the set for Tinie Tempah's shoot, Bukola's incident seems even more unlikely.
According to the photographer, he sighted Bukola in between shots while shooting Jidenna on Broad Street in Marina and could not resist giving her his card.
Bukola showed up at the studio and the transformation was beyond stunning.
Sharing the Bukola's makeover photos and the story on Instagram, Kelechi wrote:
"This is Bukola. Some weeks back I was shooting @jidenna on Broad street Lagos and in between takes I saw her across the street selling pillows. Had to call her and give my number. ” if you’re interested in modeling please give me a call” I said. Well she came to the studio and I called my number one MUA @bimpeonakoya and this is what we came up with. I think she will make a great model. What do you think? #africanbeauty #diamondintherough.”
Bukola petite features gives her a cherubic look with dark pools for eyes you could get lost in. The black and white photos did justice for Bukola and we can only wait to see what becomes of her.
