Amarelis Atelier makes a grand debut at the Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2016 and the brand didn't disappoint.
The Nigerian womenswear brand showed off offerings on the runway for the first time at the Fashion Week in Ghana. Amarelis joined other brands including Mai Atafo, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Tokyo James, Jason Porsche, Toju Foyeh, Iamisigo, Reni Smith, Wana Sambo, Maxivive, Vanskere, Lumiere Couture, Vanskere, Gbenga Artsmith and more making the first time well over 10 Nigerian designers will show at the Fashion Week.
The runway newcomer showed an impressive collection infusing trends into timeless bits that made up the offerings featuring embellished dresses, Grecian themed floor lengths, bardot embellished dresses, cape detailed, sassy shifts with slit details and more easily nudging the brand's preference towards fluid, functional and detailed creations.
Appliqués, embellishments, sheer, frills, colour block, fluid with an impressive smooth transition of colours, designs with trends like bardot and cold shoulder as well as asymmetric standing out in the brand's showcase.
The fabrics, display, styling and overall aesthetic were effortless amongst other details put in place for the debut. Overall it wasn't a shabby showcase for a first time on the runway. Pretty impressive I'd say.
